Rescuing surplus food from going to waste in our community
Every week, tonnes of food in our local community gets thrown away. At the Oasis Community Fridge, we take this food, which is still fantastic quality and redistribute it to local people.
At the Oasis Centre, we are open Monday-Friday 10am-5pm and anyone can pop in and drop-off or collect food from our open access fridge.
At St George’s Cathedral we open at 10am on a Friday for our breakfast club, and then from 12.30pm people can select food to take home with them. Get there early to secure your place in the queue! All welcome.
We partner with organisations including Hubub, Felix Project and City Harvest, our e-bike goes to Borough Market multiple times a week, ensuring low environmental impact and a speedy way to get food to those who need it.
